Rule 66 Receivers

If a receiver was appointed in another state and needs to take legal action in North Dakota, they can sue in any district court here. However, local creditors in North Dakota get priority over that out-of-state receiver when it comes to claims on the property.

Finally, once a court appoints a receiver, the case cannot just be dropped or withdrawn on its own. A judge must approve any dismissal. This protects the interests of everyone involved, since a receiver is often managing money or property that affects multiple people.
