Title and Citation

This rule simply gives the name of the ethics rules that judges in North Dakota must follow. The official name is the "North Dakota Code of Judicial Conduct." When someone wants to reference these rules in writing, like in a legal document or court filing, they can use the short version: "N.D. Code Jud. Conduct."

This naming rule does not affect how judges behave or what they can and cannot do. It just sets up the proper way to identify and cite this set of rules so everyone uses the same name when talking about them.
