Rule 13 Trial Together of Informations

When someone is charged with crimes in separate informations, the court can decide to combine them into one trial. This is allowed as long as the charges (or the defendants, if there's more than one) could have legally been put together in a single information from the start.

If the court joins the cases this way, the trial moves forward just like it would if everything had been filed as one combined case from the beginning. This saves time and avoids holding multiple separate trials when the charges are closely related enough that they could have been filed together in the first place.
