Northern Mariana Islands Rules for In Forma Pauperis – 2026
Proceeding without prepayment of court fees or costs, effective May 1, 2018. Rule 1 applies these rules to the application and procedure for in forma pauperis in the Superior Court. Twelve rules covering the application, court review, the duty to identify household members, and the criteria in Rule 6 - a means-tested benefit received by the applicant or a household member, or total gross household income at or below 125% of the U.S. poverty standard for Hawaii - together with partial relief, changed circumstances, tolling, notification of the decision, and reconsideration and appeal.
