Rule 10 Amendment to Process or Pleading

The court may amend or permit amendment of any charging instrument, process, or pleading for any omission or defect therein, or for any variance between the charging instrument and the evidence adduced at the trial. If the defendant is substantially prejudiced in the presentation of their case as a result of the amendment, the court shall adjourn the hearing to some future time, upon such terms as the court shall think proper. __________________________________________________________
