Sec 12.4 Rules and Forms to Effectuate Rule

This rule explains how the detailed procedures for Rule 12 get created. The General Counsel's office is in charge of writing the specific rules and forms that will be used to carry out Rule 12. Before these become final, they have to be published in the Oklahoma Bar Journal so that lawyers and others have a chance to read them and give feedback.

After the comment period, the proposed rules and forms go to the Oklahoma Supreme Court for review. The rules and forms do not become official or usable until the Supreme Court formally approves them. This process makes sure that any new procedures get public input first and final approval from the state's highest court before they can be enforced.
