Rule Text
The membership of the Association shall consist of those persons who are, and remain, licensed to practice law in this State. All members of the Association shall provide the Association with a current address and shall promptly inform the Association of any changes in address.

Anyone who is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma automatically becomes a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association. You don't need to apply separately or opt in. As long as you hold a law license in the state, you're part of the Association.
Members also have a basic duty to keep their contact information current. You must give the Association your current address, and if you move or your address changes, you need to let them know right away. This isn't optional. Courts have held lawyers accountable for failing to keep the Association updated, so ignoring this requirement can create real problems down the road, especially if the Association needs to reach you about your license or a complaint filed against you.
