The Executive Director of the Oklahoma Bar Association has several key jobs to keep the organization running smoothly. This person follows instructions from the Board of Governors and the President, and also does whatever tasks the official rules and bylaws require.
One major responsibility is keeping track of all bar members. The Executive Director maintains a full and accurate list of everyone who belongs to the Association. This means the organization always knows who its members are and can keep their information current.
The Executive Director also handles matters involving members who have not met their obligations, such as paying dues on time. When members fall behind, the Executive Director notifies them about the problem. If needed, this person also reports the names of these delinquent members to the Supreme Court, following the process the rules lay out.
Finally, the Executive Director acts as a link between the Association and the Supreme Court on official records. This includes sending the Court certified records and other documents whenever the rules call for it. This helps make sure the Supreme Court has accurate, verified information about the bar and its members.
