§ 1102 Offer not ground for continuance.

If one side makes a settlement offer under this law, that offer cannot be used as a reason to delay the trial or push back the court date. The case still moves forward on schedule, no matter what offers are made between the parties.

This matters because it stops people from using an offer as a stalling tactic. Even if someone makes an offer close to the trial date, the court will not stop or delay the proceedings just because that offer is on the table. Both sides need to be ready to move forward with the case as planned.
