§ 1155 Orders to several counties.

If you're trying to attach a person's property to secure a debt or claim, you don't have to guess which county it's in. You can ask the court to send attachment orders to sheriffs in several different counties at once, or one after another, if you're not sure where the property is located.

The catch is about costs. You only have to pay court costs for the orders that actually get carried out (executed). If a sheriff in one county doesn't find or seize anything, that attempt normally won't cost you anything, unless the judge specifically decides otherwise.

This rule gives people more flexibility when they don't know exactly where someone's property sits. At the same time, it protects them from paying for every single attempt, only the ones that actually work.
