Plain-English Summary (for reference only — not a substitute for the rule text above)
This summary is not the rule. The rule text controls.
If you hire a licensed process server to deliver court papers, you and the server work out the arrangement directly. You ask them for the service, and you agree on how much they will charge you for the job.
The payment for this service stays between you and the process server. The court clerk's office does not get involved in collecting or handling this money. This means you pay the server directly, not through the court.
