§ 28 Clerks to issue writs and orders - Preparation.

If you want a court to issue a writ, order, or other legal process, you or your attorney have to prepare the paperwork yourselves. The court clerk doesn't write it for you. Once you've drafted the document, the clerk's job is to officially issue it.

This means the responsibility for getting the wording and details right falls on you or your lawyer, not the court staff. Clerks handle the official processing and issuing, but they aren't there to create the legal documents from scratch. If you're filing for something like a restraining order or other provisional remedy, you need to come prepared with the correct paperwork already filled out.
