§ 309 Tenders - How made - Deposit in court.

If you claim in your court papers that you offered money to someone (this is called a "tender"), you don't have to actually hand over that money to the court right away when you file the paperwork. You just need to state that you made the offer.

You will need to actually deposit the money with the court later, either when the trial happens or whenever the judge tells you to. This gives you some breathing room, so you don't have to come up with the cash immediately just to make your legal claim. It also proves you're serious about the offer, since you'll eventually need to back it up with real money at the right time.
