Rule Text

Plain-English Summary (for reference only — not a substitute for the rule text above)

This summary is not the rule. The rule text controls.

This section doesn't contain a rule anymore. It was moved to a different location in the law books.

In 1989, Oklahoma lawmakers reorganized parts of the civil procedure code. What used to be found at section 3214 was renumbered and is now located at section 3237. If you're looking for the actual legal rule, you'll need to check section 3237 instead.

This kind of renumbering happens sometimes when laws get updated or reorganized. The content didn't disappear, it just got a new address in the statute books. If you're researching an older case or document that references section 3214, keep in mind it's now referring to what you'll find under section 3237.
