§ 3257 Application of act.

Any request for discovery made in a case that was already ongoing on November 1, 2021 falls under this new law. In other words, if your case was active on that date, these updated discovery rules apply to you, even if your case started before the law changed.

This means people don't need to worry about whether their case is old or new when it comes to discovery requests. As long as the case was still open on November 1, 2021, the current rules are the ones that count going forward.
