Rule 1.10 Filing Fees

Filing an appeal or starting an original proceeding with this court costs money. The amount you have to pay is set by a different law, found in Section 38 of Title 20 of Oklahoma's statutes, not by this rule itself.

If you're planning to file an appeal or bring an original proceeding, you'll need to look up that specific section to find out exactly how much the fee is. Courts typically require this payment before they'll process your case, so it's a good idea to check the current fee amount early so you're not caught off guard or delayed in getting your appeal started.

If money is tight, ask the court clerk about options for people who can't afford the fee. Many courts allow you to ask for a fee waiver if paying would create a real hardship for you.
