ROP 6 Matters Not Covered By Rules

Sometimes a situation comes up in court that these rules simply don't address. When that happens, the court has a way to handle it.

If the court is in session at the time, the judges will decide how to handle the issue and issue an order on the spot. If the court is not in session, the presiding judge has the authority to make that call alone and issue the order.

In short, this rule fills in the gaps. It makes sure there's always someone with the power to make a decision, even if the written rules don't cover every possible situation that could come up during a case.
