§ 1197 Members of legislature not affected.

This rule simply says that the criminal procedure laws in this section don't cover how lawmakers get removed from office. If a member of the Oklahoma Legislature needs to be removed, that process follows different rules, not the ones laid out in this article.

In other words, this part of the law is carved out to avoid overlap or confusion with whatever separate process applies to legislators. Removing someone from the Legislature works differently than the criminal court procedures described elsewhere in this title, and this rule makes that distinction clear.
