§ 387 Forms and rules of pleading.

Every criminal case in Oklahoma has to follow the same set of rules when it comes to written filings, like charges or motions. This law says that the state's official criminal procedure code sets those rules. It covers both the format these documents should take and how courts decide if they are good enough to move forward.

In practice, this means prosecutors and defense attorneys cannot make up their own style or format for court paperwork. They have to stick to what the law already spells out. If someone challenges whether a charging document or other pleading was written correctly, the judge will look at these same standard rules to decide if it holds up.
