§ 40.5 Short Title.

This section simply gives an official name to a group of related laws. Sections 2 through 4 of this act are called the "Domestic Abuse Reporting Act." This name is used so people can easily refer to these specific laws when talking about domestic abuse reporting requirements.

Think of this like a nickname for a set of rules. It does not create any new requirements on its own. Instead, it just labels the other sections so they are easier to identify and discuss.
