§ 41 Information of threat.

If someone believes another person has threatened to hurt them or damage their property, they can go to a judge or magistrate about it. To do this, they need to file a written statement called an "information."

This statement has to be sworn under oath. This means the person making the complaint promises the information is true. They can't just say someone made a threat without backing it up with a sworn statement.

Once this sworn statement is filed, the magistrate can look into the claim. This process gives people a legal way to report threats before something bad actually happens, rather than waiting until after an offense occurs.
