§ 412 Pleading a judgment.

When someone needs to reference a court judgment or ruling in a legal document, they don't have to spell out every detail about why that court had the authority to make the decision. They can simply state that the judgment was "duly given" or "duly made," meaning it was properly issued.

However, this doesn't mean those details don't matter. If the case actually goes to trial, the facts that show the court had proper authority still need to be proven. So while the paperwork can be simple and brief, the real proof of jurisdiction has to come out when the case is argued in court.

In short, this rule saves time on paperwork but doesn't let anyone skip the real work of proving a court had the right to make its ruling. The shortcut applies to how things are written down, not to what must be proven at trial.
