§ 506 Hearing on demurrer.

When someone files a demurrer, which is a formal objection to the charges against them, the court has to actually hold a hearing on it. This hearing can happen right away, or the judge can schedule it for a later date.

The main point of this rule is that the objection can't just be ignored or set aside without being addressed. The court must give it real consideration at some point, whether that's immediately after it's filed or on a date the judge picks. This gives the person raising the objection a chance to have their concerns heard before the case moves forward.
