§ 599 Jurors summoned to complete jury - Treated as original panel.

If a court needs more jurors to finish filling a jury, the names of these new people get added to the jury selection process the same way the original jurors were chosen. Each name is written on its own piece of paper, folded so no one can see the name, and then placed in a box along with the other names.

This keeps the selection process fair. It means new jurors added partway through don't get picked in a different way than everyone else. The random, blind method of drawing names stays the same, whether someone was called at the start or added later to complete the jury.
