§ 991a-13 Short title.

This part of the law simply gives a name to a group of related rules. Sections 442 through 449 are officially called the "Elderly and Incapacitated Victim's Protection Program." This name is used when courts, lawyers, or other officials need to refer to these specific rules together.

The actual protections and procedures are laid out in the other sections (442 to 449). This naming rule does not create new rights or requirements on its own. It just makes it easier to talk about and find the group of laws that deal with protecting elderly people and people with disabilities who are victims of crime.
