RULE 1.75 DEFINITIONS

This rule explains two words used later in the court rules. It tells you what "tribunal" and "decision" mean when you see them in this part of the rules.

A "tribunal" is any court, agency, board, or commission that you can appeal from to the Oklahoma Supreme Court. The only thing it does not include is the district court. So if a state agency or board makes a ruling and you want to appeal it, that agency or board counts as a "tribunal" under these rules.

A "decision" is simply any action by that tribunal that you are allowed to appeal. If the agency or board makes a ruling that the law lets you challenge in a higher court, that ruling is called a "decision" for purposes of these rules.
