RULE 1.87 PETITION IN ERROR AND RESPONSE IN CORPORATION COMMISSION APPEALS

If you want to appeal a decision made by the Corporation Commission, you need to file a document called a petition in error. This document has to follow a specific format, called Form No. 5, which lays out what information you need to include. The other side then gets to file a response, and that response has to follow Form No. 6.

There's also a deadline for filing that response. The rule points to Rule 1.25, which sets out how much time the other side has to respond after the petition in error is filed.

This rule basically makes sure that appeals from Corporation Commission decisions follow the same paperwork rules as other appeals, so both sides know what format to use and how much time they have to respond.
