sec 14.8 Foreign Limited Liability Companies Deemed to be Lawfully Organized and Registered to do Business

When a document affecting property title is signed by a limited liability company that was formed in another state, and the document looks properly signed and notarized, the person examining the title can assume some things without needing extra proof. They can assume the company was legally set up in the state where it was formed, and that it was allowed to do business in this state at the time the document was signed.

This means title examiners don't have to track down paperwork proving the out-of-state company followed every formation rule or registered with the state. If the document appears correct on its face, that's good enough to move forward.

It's also worth knowing that an out-of-state LLC doesn't even need to register in Oklahoma to buy or sell real estate here. So the company can hold title to Oklahoma property or transfer it to someone else, even without being registered to do business in the state.
