sec 24.5 Release of Assignment of Rents

When a mortgage or other encumbrance also includes an assignment of rents as part of the same deal, you don't need a separate release for that assignment of rents. This applies as long as the assignment of rents is between the same two parties and is clearly part of the same transaction as the original encumbrance.

In practical terms, this means if a lender releases a mortgage, that release automatically takes care of the related assignment of rents too. Nobody needs to file extra paperwork spelling out that the assignment of rents is also released. One release document covers both, as long as they were tied together from the start.
