§ 133.410 Short title

If a suspect commits a crime in another state and then runs into Oregon to escape, police from that other state can follow them across the border and make an arrest here. This group of laws sets up the rules for that kind of chase between states, which is often called "fresh pursuit."

The name "Uniform Act on Fresh Pursuit" just means Oregon uses the same basic rules that many other states use for this situation. This makes it easier for police in different states to work together when a suspect tries to escape justice by crossing state lines. The actual details about how this works are covered in the other laws in this group, but this first part simply tells you what to call the whole set of rules.
