§ 137.070 Counties to which bench warrant may issue; service

If a court needs to arrest someone under a bench warrant, that warrant is not limited to just one county. The court can send the warrant to any county in Oregon, or even to several counties at once, if there's a chance the person might be found there.

Once the warrant reaches a county, police there can act on it just like they would with any regular arrest warrant. This means the same rules for arresting someone apply, no matter which county ends up serving the warrant. The point of this rule is to make sure someone can't avoid arrest just by leaving the county where the warrant was first issued.
