§ 137.131 Community service as condition of probation for offense involving graffiti

If someone is convicted of criminal mischief for spray-painting or otherwise creating graffiti, the judge must require community service as part of their probation. This applies as long as the person is not also sentenced to time in jail or prison. If they are given jail or prison time, this community service requirement does not apply.

The community service must involve cleaning up graffiti. It does not have to be limited to the graffiti the person created themselves. The court can also require them to clean up graffiti that someone else made.
