§ 137.467 Delivery of warrant when place of trial changed

When a criminal trial gets moved to a different county, this rule explains what happens to the death warrant. The warrant must be handed over to the sheriff in the county where the trial actually took place, not the original county where the case may have started.

This keeps things simple. The sheriff who's involved with the county that handled the trial is the one responsible for the warrant, since that's where the case was actually decided.
