§ 144.360 Effect of order for arrest and detention of violator

If a supervisory authority, like the Department of Corrections, decides someone has violated the terms of their release, they can issue an order to have that person arrested and held. This order works just like a regular arrest warrant. Police and other officials can act on it the same way they would act on any warrant a judge signs.

This matters because it means the person does not need a separate court order to be picked up and detained. The order from the supervisory authority is enough on its own. All the normal rules that apply to arrest warrants, like how they must be carried out and what rights the person has, apply here too.
