§ 147.419 Authority of victim to obtain copy of transcript or tape of criminal proceeding

If you are the victim in a criminal case, you have the right to get a copy of what happened during court proceedings that were held in open court. This includes written transcripts, audio recordings, or video recordings of the hearings.

To get a copy, you simply need to pay the actual cost of making that copy. You can pay either the court or the person who originally created the transcript or recording. This means you won't be charged extra fees beyond what it actually costs to reproduce the material.

This rule gives victims direct access to court records so they can review what was said during proceedings in their case, without needing special permission beyond covering the copying costs.
