Rule Text

Plain-English Summary (for reference only — not a substitute for the rule text above)

This summary is not the rule. The rule text controls.

This rule no longer exists. It was created in 1981, changed twice in the years after, and then completely removed from Oregon law in 1999.

Because the rule was repealed, it has no effect on any criminal case today. If you're looking at older court documents or case law that mention this rule, keep in mind it was in effect only up until 1999. For anything happening now, you'd need to look at the current laws that replaced it.

If you're trying to figure out what rule covers this topic today, it's worth checking Oregon's current criminal procedure statutes or asking a legal professional to point you to the right one.
