§ 153.624 Costs for obtaining driving records

If you get convicted of a traffic offense, the court can make you pay for more than just the standard fines and fees. It can also charge you for the actual cost of pulling your driving record during your case. This means if the court had to request or obtain records showing your driving history, you may have to pay back what that cost the court.

This charge is added on top of any other fines or costs you already owe because of the traffic conviction. The amount is based on the real cost the court paid to get the records, not some extra penalty. So if your driving record was part of the evidence or process in your case, expect that expense to show up as part of what you owe.
