Rule 14 Conduct and Decorum

When you go to a hearing in this court, the magistrate is in charge of how things run. Everyone in the room, including witnesses, taxpayers, and government representatives, has to follow the magistrate's directions during the proceeding.

Everyone is also expected to treat each other with respect. This means being polite and courteous to the magistrate, to court staff, and to the other people involved in the case, even if you disagree with them.

When you speak to the magistrate, you should call them "Your Honor," "Magistrate," or "Judge." This is a simple way to show respect for the court process.
