Rule 17 Decisions

Once all the evidence and arguments in a case have been presented, the court doesn't decide right away. Instead, it takes the case "under advisement," which means the magistrate reviews everything before making a decision.

After this review, the court writes up its decision and sends it out in writing. This means both sides will get a formal document explaining how the case was decided, rather than getting an answer on the spot.
