Rule 13.110 Arbitrator’s Oath

Before an arbitrator can start handling a case, they have to sign a written promise. The court gives them a form to sign when they are appointed to the case.

By signing this form, the arbitrator is promising to listen to both sides fairly and look closely at the facts of the dispute. They are also promising to make a decision that is honest and fair, based on their best judgment.

This oath is meant to make sure arbitrators take their job seriously. It holds them to a standard of fairness before they even begin reviewing the case.
