Rule 13.280 Trial Docket

Here's what this rule means: even if your case gets sent to arbitration, it keeps its place in line for trial. The court doesn't push your case to the back of the line just because it went through arbitration first.

This matters because arbitration doesn't always settle things. If you or the other side disagrees with the arbitrator's decision, you can still ask for a trial. This rule makes sure that if that happens, your case doesn't lose its spot on the trial schedule. You won't have to start over at the end of the line.

The judge does have some flexibility here. If there's a good reason to change where your case falls on the docket, the court can make that call. But normally, your case stays right where it would have been if arbitration never happened.
