Rule 4.070 Dismissal of Charges Following Successful Completion of Diversion

If you complete a diversion program for a DUII charge or another type of diversion program, the court will dismiss your case. When that happens, the paperwork dismissing your charge has to clearly say that the dismissal is because you finished the diversion program successfully.

This matters because it creates a clear record of why the case was dismissed. It shows the dismissal happened because you did what was required, not for some other reason. This can be important later if you need to show proof of how your case was resolved, such as when applying for a job, dealing with insurance, or handling any future legal matters.
