Rule 1606 Further Review

If you want to take your case to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court after losing at a lower appeals court, you need to file a specific legal request called a "petition for allowance of appeal." This is not automatic. You have to ask the Supreme Court to hear your case, and you must file that request on time.

The Supreme Court does not have to accept every case. Filing the petition is just the first step in asking them to review what happened in the lower court.
