Rule 2703 Erroneously Filed Cases

If your case gets sent to a different court because you filed it in the wrong place, you have to pay the filing fee for that new court. You will receive an invoice, and you have seven days from the time you get it to pay the fee to the clerk of the court where your case was sent.

This rule applies whether you are an appellant, petitioner, or plaintiff. The fee is treated as a cost of the transfer, so it is your responsibility to cover it promptly.
