Rule 312 Interlocutory Appeals by Permission

When a court makes a ruling in the middle of a case, you normally have to wait until the whole case is over before you can appeal it. This type of mid-case ruling is called an interlocutory order.

However, in some situations, you can ask for special permission to appeal that ruling right away, before the case is finished. Chapter 13 of these rules explains the process for requesting that kind of appeal.
