Rule 3701 Amendments to Chapter

This rule explains who has the power to change the rules in this chapter. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court can add to or change these rules at any time. The Commonwealth Court can also make changes, but only by following a separate rule (Rule 104) about how courts create their own rules.

This is mostly a behind-the-scenes rule about how the court system manages itself. It does not directly affect people involved in a case, but it explains where any future changes to these rules would come from.
