Rule 3803 Transmission of Notice of Appeal to Superior Court

When someone files a notice of appeal in a Court of Common Pleas, the clerk at that court must send a copy to the Superior Court the same day it is filed. The clerk sends this copy by fax.

This rule makes sure the Superior Court finds out about the appeal right away, without any delay. The person filing the appeal does not need to do this step themselves.
