Rule 513 Consolidation of Multiple Appeals

Sometimes two or more appeals involve the same court order or the same legal question. When that happens, the court can combine those appeals and treat them as one. This saves time and keeps the court from hearing the same arguments more than once.

The parties involved in the separate appeals can also agree on their own to combine the cases. If everyone agrees, they can submit a written agreement called a stipulation to make it official. The court still handles the combined appeal as if it were a single case.
