When a court rule says someone must provide a bond with a surety (a person who promises to cover costs if something goes wrong), you have another option. Instead of finding an individual to act as your surety, you can use a licensed insurance or surety company to provide the bond.
The company must be authorized to do business in Pennsylvania and must be approved by the right court authority. This gives people a practical way to meet bond requirements without having to find a personal guarantor.
