Plain-English Summary (for reference only — not a substitute for the rule text above)
This summary is not the rule. The rule text controls.
Ejectment is a type of lawsuit used when someone wants to reclaim ownership or possession of land or property. The court handles these cases like most other civil lawsuits in Pennsylvania.
Unless the ejectment rules say something different, all the standard rules for civil cases apply. This means the same steps for filing, serving papers, and going through the court process are used in ejectment cases just like any other lawsuit.
